Why am I getting the error warning: “can’t access /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources”?

Aftering updating up2date on CentOS you may receive the error “warning: can’t access /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources” when you try to run up2date again.

The solution is to install the the centos-release package. This can be accomplished by doing the following:

yum install centos-release
